Don't do this because all you are doing is widening the arc of casting the fly, which means that it will widen the loop and create extra resistance through the air.
You should concentrate to put more force into the cast and having a tighter loop rather than a wider loop that will drag through the air. Make sure that the angle of your loop is making it inches above the water instead of the usual feet above. That way the wind will not have enough time to blow it off course.
