Specially, the public lakes are less expensive and these are spread all around the country in thousands. These public lakes are mostly administered under the local private clubs and they look after the welfare of the lakes, the carps and collecting the fees from the visitors.

Apart from these public lakes, there are many private lakes as well all around the country. These are pretty luxurious and offer plenty more advantages in comparison with these public lakes. They in general have more number of swims, bigger carps with some helping hands available (Particularly useful if you are a rookie); sometimes they even hire expert anglers if you require. You will be availed with even fooding and proper lodging facilities in some of these private lakes. But, you must remember all the good things have a price for it.  But, it does not matter you choose the public owned lakes or the private owned ones, you must acquire a permit to fish (Easily obtainable from shops or pubs) and also should carry a fishing map to give you an idea on the suitable carp habitat.
